How Your Data Is Used
Coco's Story is built for families sharing personal memories. Here's the short version of what happens when you use the app: AI helps you draft, organize, and structure stories you share, and those stories stay inside your private family space unless you choose to invite someone in.
What the AI does
Coco's Story uses AI to help you capture memories without starting from a blank page.
- It helps you turn voice or text into structured stories.
- It drafts stories from what you share.
- It extracts names, dates, places, and relationships into a reviewable family tree.
- You can review, edit, and decide what stays in your family tree.
What we store
We keep the pieces needed to make your family space useful the next time you come back.
- The stories and conversations you choose to save.
- The facts, people, places, and relationships extracted from those stories.
- Basic account details, like your name and email address.
Who can see it
Your family history is not public by default.
- Only you and the people you invite into your family space can access it.
- You control who gets invited.
- We do not publish your stories to a public profile or public feed.
What we don't do
We keep the short version simple, but we also want it to be accurate.
- We don't sell your personal information or family stories.
- We don't use your stories to train our own models.
- We don't share your stories with advertisers or data brokers.
- We do rely on service providers like Google Cloud to run the app and process AI requests, which is explained in the full privacy policy.
Your control
You stay in charge of what your family keeps.
- You can edit or remove stories and facts.
- You can export your structured family-tree data.
- You can contact us to request access to or deletion of your account data.
